SRB power India provide high quality with exclusive functions SMU Units for existing inverters .Solar Management Unit (SMU) can convert a simple Inverter into Solar Inverter. SMU ensures priority usage of Solar Power to reduce Grid consumption.The SMU could charge battery automatically from photovoltaic (PV) systems. The charging process has been optimised for long battery life and improved system performance. The comprehensive self-diagnostics and extensive electronic protection can prevent damage against incorrect wiring or system faults. The system can work as a domestic inverter and a solar inverter automatically or manually through a switch except in night condition. In night condition the system will work as normal domestic inverter.

High speed and high performance micro-controller
 High speed micro controller increases the performance of the system. SRB Solar Management Unit (SMU) is embed with a high speed micro controller which provide ability to perform its task more reliably and efficiently.
High reliability with longer operational life
 SRB Solar Management Unit (SMU) is highly reliable and it has longer operational life. It can be operated in extreme environment conditions. It can be operated at temperature range that lies in 0°C to 60°C.
Prioritise Solar Power over Grid Power
 SRB SMU ensures priority usage of Solar Power over Grid Power to reduce Grid consumption. In Daytime condition, the system will give priority to Solar Power and use Grid Power only when the Solar Power is insufficient to sustain the load requirement. When battery gets fully charged during daytime, the SMU will automatically cut-off the Grid Power from the system and load will run through the home inverter.
Increase the battery lifetime
 SRB SMU utilises four stage battery charging algorithm that enhances the battery life. In Bulk stage SMU feeds the battery installed to it a constant boost charging current until its voltage reaches 14.4V and the float current (which is very close to zero), then in absorption stage it maintains this voltage above 14.2V for 3 hrs. Thus reducing the float current (flowing for the longest period during the entire process) to zero, ultimately resulting in much enhanced battery life keeping it fully charged simultaneously.
Automatic/ Manual operation through a switch
 The system can work as a domestic inverter and a solar inverter automatically or manually through a switch except in night condition. In night condition, first it will harvests the stored battery energy then it will work as normal domestic inverter. [Top]
Inbuilt protection to avoid battery undercharge and over-charge.
 SRB's SMU has the capability to charge a battery which goes in deep discharge condition. It can charge the battery if the battery voltage during discharge reaches up to 8V per battery. It uses four stages to charge the battery i.e. Boost, Absorption, Float and Equalisation. This feature protects the battery for being over charged.
Very Low Consumption in Idle State
 SRB's SMU have very low idle consumption. In idle state it consumes less than 20mA current which makes it more efficient than any other SMU.

Performance features of Solar Management Unit
Solar management unit is the device to convert normal inverter & home ups to solar inverter. The system has 12/24/36/48/60/72/96/120/240/360 V in 20/30/40/50/60/70/100 Amps Models. Solar management unit and logical control of AC input to use maximum power of solar array.

The device has two modes:
1. Manual mode: The solar array is connected to the battery bank thru Solar management unit and charge the battery bank paralleled with ac charger of inverter.
2. Auto mode: In this mode the decision to switch-on the ac to inverter is taken on the basis of the battery voltage. Once the battery is full charged the ac power to the inverter is off and battery will charge from the solar array only. The inverter mode of normal inverter is on and it keeps on till the battery is discharged up to 75% of full capacity. Once the battery voltages reaches at 11.6 V, the AC supply of the inverter is on (if available) and the battery is being charge from AC and solar both and the load shifted to AC (if AC is available).
